Vicki’s guide to a different night out in Birmingham

March 25, 2017

As the painful dry January comes to an end what better way to celebrate it being over than visiting some of Birmingham’s best nightlife attractions.

Here are my top 5 places to visit in Birmingham for a fun night out…

1 Digbeth Dining Club

Are you a food lover who can never decide what to choose from the menu? Yes? Well, this dining club is the place for you. Based in the quirky area of Digbeth, you will find a range of food stalls that offer a variety of foods from all over the world. Canoodle, Fancy Fries, Holy Moly Macaroni, The Kebab Cartel, Bare Bones Pizza and The English Indian are some of the traders available. Along with the famous Flying Cows burger stand which is not to be passed!

2 Aluna

Aluna is the place to go to start your night off with some interesting cocktails. Located in the heart of The Mailbox, Aluna is a canal side bar that offers weird and wonderful cocktails that have got the whole of Birmingham talking. On the menu, you will find adventurous drinks such as Lava Lamp, Colour Changing Martini, Peanut Butter Smoothie and Marshmallow Daiquiri.

3 The Lord Clifden

This is a Dynamic venue known for its urban street art and retro lawn mower hanging on the wall. The Lord Clifden is the perfect summer pub, where you will find table tennis and the famous Cider Slushies!! Be sure to pop over to Hockley to join in on the experience. Be warned… day drinking leads into night drinking

4 The Botanist

Also known as the ‘The Plant Rooms’, The Botanist is where you are offered exciting drinks that you can pour from a watering can… different eh!?  They also offer a varied food menu that includes a ‘choose your own item’ deli board. Or if you fancy learning how to make your own drinks then book yourself on to their Cocktail Masterclass.

5 Bushwackers

If you’re looking for a place to continue the party on a Saturday night, then head to Bushwackers for a glamorous after party where you can dance the night away until 7am Sunday morning. As well as a dance floor, this venue has a very sociable smoking area where the DJ will keep the music pumping until the sun comes up.

I hope this has helped you plan your diary for the next few weekends
