Gemma’s career started at the NEC Group as a year in industry placement as part of her degree course. These 12 months in this organisation gave her first real exposure of what her career might look like, which is something Gemma continues to draw from even now.  At every stage of her career she has always been focussed on marketing and values being able to remain within her chosen industry and continue to use her skills within the flexible working environment at Hart.  

Gemma’s personal achievements:

• Launched her own fitness business
• Camped and trekked in the Grand Cannon
• Being a mum to her two children

Gemma’s super power:

Gemma’s super power is continuing to take from her lengthy experience in marketing and website content building.   Over her 16 year career she hasn’t waivered from this being her focus, she has simply adapted to new roles and industries. Taking her core skills with her along the way.

Why she’s so good at what she does:

Gemma’s career has comprised of roles in both larger corporates and small family run organisations – including running her own small business as a sole trader.   ” I really value the differences I personally noted from various companies, and in particular running my own business reminded me of the “all hands on deck” approach I applied when working in smaller companies.  Although, I would always be focussed on my own objectives – I would never shy away from jumping in to help other departments or assist in larger projects within the company.”
