Hart are celebrating 20 years in business
According to a recent report by McKinsey (1) ‘The Great Attrition’ or ‘Great Attraction’ The Choice is yours, 40% of employees surveyed said they are at least somewhat likely to quit in the next three to six months. 18% of the respondents said their intentions range from likely to almost certain. People are tired and many are grieving (2) and experiencing a sense of sadness and loss. Not only for the loved ones they may have lost, but for loss of familiar routines, cancelled holidays and family gatherings or even the loss of separating ‘life’ and ‘work’ and ‘me time’ when commuting. These changes are impacting on what people value in their life and work. Many are now evaluating what they really want from a job and what they are willing to ‘put up’ with.
The leadership role in organisations large or small has changed dramatically. Some of the things that we have learned from the past two years is that the human connection in work in more important than ever. Employees want meaningful—though not necessarily in-person—interactions, not just transactions. They want empathetic leaders who are able to listen to, understand, value and appreciate them as human beings, not just as a number in an organisation.
In this workshop we will show you some of the tools and techniques we teach as part of our Leadership Development Programmes. Learn about our different perspectives to any situation, the importance of communicating clearly and concisely, and the value in coaching and developing everyone in your organisation.
